Nigerian Court Reduces Bail for Miyetti Allah Leader Bello Bodejo

The Federal High Court in Abuja has lowered the bail amount for Alhaji Bello Bodejo, the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, from N2 billion to N1 billion. Justice Salim Ibrahim, sitting as a vacation judge, also revised the surety requirements, limiting property value to N1 billion in specific Abuja districts and requiring identification documents.

Bodejo faces a six‑count money‑laundering charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) involving approximately $2.63 million. He was arraigned on July 9, pleaded not guilty, and the case has been adjourned to early October for trial.
