Nigerian creators Peller and Carter Efe nominated for Streamer Awards

Nigerian content creators Peller (Habeeb Hamzat) and Carter Efe (Oderhowo Carter Efe) have been shortlisted for the Best International Streamer category at the 2026 Streamer Awards. They are part of a five-person shortlist that includes creators from India, Poland, and Cuba.

Winners will be decided by a combination of public voting, which accounts for 70 per cent of the result, and a panel score of 30 per cent. Public voting is scheduled to close on October 31, ahead of the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on November 12.

Separately, Peller has sparked online discussion regarding representation within the Nigerian streaming industry. He expressed a desire to see more Igbo content creators achieve widespread popularity and recognition in the digital space.
