Nigerian firms post strong H1 2026 earnings amid mixed profit trends
Guinness Nigeria reported a 20% increase in revenue to ₦142.27 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and profit after tax rose 57% YoY to ₦14.91 billion. The brewer also announced an additional interim dividend of ₦7 per ordinary share.
Champion Breweries posted revenue of N35.73 billion, up 124% YoY, but profit before tax fell 34.13% to N2.28 billion, reflecting higher finance costs despite strong sales. The company’s assets and equity expanded markedly during the period.
