Nigerian influencer Blessing CEO remanded, bail set in multiple fraud cases

Social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, has been repeatedly arraigned by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on several fraud charges. The cases include a N69.15 million property fraud involving a purported lease of a Lekki residence, a N13 million medical‑fraud allegation for forging a cancer diagnosis and related laboratory report, and a separate N36 million rental‑fraud matter.

In Lagos, Justice R. A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court remanded her in EFCC custody and set a July 16, 2026 hearing on bail for the N69 million case. The Federal High Court later granted her N10 million bail with two sureties in the N36 million case, ordering her to remain in correctional custody until the conditions are fulfilled. A separate hearing in the Federal High Court scheduled a trial for the medical‑fraud charges on 24 September 2026, with the judge also refusing an oral bail application.

Across all proceedings Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty. The EFCC alleges she obtained money by false pretence, stole the sums, forged documents, and converted the funds for personal use. She remains in the Nigerian Correctional Service pending further bail applications and trial dates.
