Ogun Police arrest three students for suspected cult initiation

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three secondary school students, aged 12, 18, and 18, following a suspected cult initiation attempt in Owode-Yewa. The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, was prompted by intelligence regarding a planned gathering known as “Kito Day”.

During the operation, police recovered several items, including an English axe, two knives, a short cutlass, a rubber toy gun, and a school bag. The suspects and the recovered items are being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Abeokuta for further investigation and potential prosecution.
