Police in Nigeria have reported recent incidents involving cult groups in Bayelsa and Lagos states. In Bayelsa, a clash between rival cult groups in the Yenagoa area resulted in one death and several injuries. The incident, which occurred in the Obele and Amarata areas, caused significant panic among residents and forced local businesses to shut down due to indiscriminate shootings.

In Lagos, the State Police Command arrested four suspects—Arisekola Ojo, Oluwatobi Oyewole, Oluwaseyi Odunewu, and Olumagba Ifatope—for allegedly terrorizing the Lekki, Ajah, and Elemoro axes.
