Nigerian Politicians Jump Between Parties Ahead of Elections

National Secretary of the PDP faction in Oyo State, Taofeek Arapaja, announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party and his move to the All Progressives Congress after meetings with APC gubernatorial candidate Sharafadeen Alli and President Bola Tinubu.

Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, representing Nasarawa South, formally left the African Democratic Congress to join the Allied Peoples Movement, citing internal disputes and legal battles within the ADC. Onawo had only recently defected from the PDP earlier in the year.
