Nigerian Ports Authority expects 21 ships to berth at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 21 ships carrying petroleum products, food items, containers, and various other cargoes are expected to berth at the Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea, and Tin Can Island ports in Lagos between August 18 and August 25.

Of the incoming vessels, five are expected to carry petrol and six will arrive with containers of various goods. The remaining 10 ships are slated to transport crude oil, aviation fuel, bulk pallets, bulk wheat, fresh fish, and general cargo.

In addition to the expected arrivals, the NPA reported that 11 ships and tankers are currently waiting to berth to discharge commodities such as bulk urea, petrol, aviation fuel, diesel, alkaline, bulk wheat, and fertiliser. Furthermore, 23 ships are presently discharging various cargoes, including crude palm oil, bulk gas, and diesel, across the three Lagos ports.
