Nigerian Publisher Yushau Shuaib Announces Memoir on NIPSS Institutional Bullying
Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR) Managing Director Yushau A. Shuaib announced the forthcoming release of his memoir, *Mni vs. Mnipr in NIPSS: Tackling Institutional Bullying*. The 205‑page book recounts his withdrawal from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Senior Executive Course after alleging unlawful access to his private email, false attribution of a publication, and disproportionate disciplinary measures. It also examines the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations' termination of its memorandum of understanding with IMPR, and notes other unresolved matters such as the alleged freezing of IMPR’s corporate account by Access Bank and a defamation suit against Terrence Kuanum. Shuaib said, “no action has been taken against the named suspects more than a year after the petitions were submitted,” adding that “justice delayed not only affects individuals but can erode public confidence in institutions.” The announcement came alongside IMPR’s mid‑year briefing highlighting achievements in journalism, strategic communication, and public‑interest advocacy. Investigative journalist Malam Jaafar praised Shuaib’s effort as a stand against institutional bullying and recalled Shuaib’s prior legal victory over former Finance Minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo‑Iweala.
