Nigerian singer CKay releases third studio album Banger Boy

Nigerian Afrobeats artist CKay has launched his third studio album, Banger Boy, a 12‑track project that went live on streaming platforms on Friday. The album features collaborations with Phyno on “Para”, Mavo on “Body (danz)”, Kidd Carder on “African Girls”, Maleek Berry on “Sexy” and Ghanaian singer King Promise on “Zero”. Earlier singles from the record include “E Clear”, “Body (danz)”, “African Girls” and “Badaminton”.

At the album‑listening party CKay highlighted “Shege”, “Ppower” and “Para” as his favourite tracks, noting that the Phyno collaboration happened by chance at an airport in Houston. The release follows his 2022 album Sad Romance and 2024’s Emotions, and coincides with the launch of his own label, Boyfriend Music, aimed at greater creative independence. One of the album’s songs, “NDA”, is an introspective track about heartbreak and emotional detachment, reflecting the lyrical themes CKay has explored since his 2019 global hit “Love Nwantiti”.
