Nigerian striker Akor Adams signs for Venezia until 2030
Venezia FC have completed the permanent signing of Nigerian forward Akor Adams from Sevilla FC. The 26‑year‑old striker signed a contract running to 30 June 2030, with the club describing the transfer as a major step in its project to stay in Serie A. Adams arrived after spells at Sogndal and Lillestrøm in Norway, Montpellier in France and Sevilla in Spain, where he scored 10 goals and added four assists in 37 appearances. He has earned 15 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring six goals.
Speaking after the move, Adams said, “I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history.” He also praised the club’s supporters for their “energy and passion”. Shortly after his arrival, Venezia recorded an 8‑0 win in a pre‑season friendly against Vis Pesaro, with the new striker featuring in the squad as the team ramped up preparations for the new Serie A season.
