Nigerian traditional rulers celebrate peer monarchs' milestones

His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Hameed Adekunle Makama Oyelude, the Olowu of Kuta Kingdom, sent a congratulatory message to His Royal Majesty Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Abeokuta, marking the anniversary of his coronation. The Kuta monarch praised the Owu ruler’s commitment to peace, unity, cultural heritage and sustainable development, and prayed for continued health and wisdom.

Engr. Murtala Alimi Otisese, the Oba Yoruba Kano, likewise issued a statement celebrating the birthday of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II of Kano. He highlighted the Emir’s leadership in fostering ethnic and cultural harmony across Nigeria, thanking him for promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between the Kano Emirate and the Yoruba community.
