Nigeria's Allied People's Movement rolls out farmer program and backs Makinde for 2027 presidency

Allied People's Movement (APM) candidate Kabeer Adebayo Salaudeen, running for the Saki West State constituency in Oyo, launched an "Agricultural Revolution" programme that trained hundreds of local farmers in modern techniques to boost yields and livelihoods.

Separately, APM announced that it has filed its presidential, vice‑presidential and National Assembly nominees with the Independent National Electoral Commission, expressing confidence that its presidential candidate, Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde, will defeat incumbent President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. Party officials said the campaign will focus on addressing the cost of living, insecurity, unemployment and economic stagnation.

Both moves are part of APM’s broader strategy to mobilise grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
