Nigeria's Ambassador to Israel Presents Credentials to President Herzog
Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Israel, Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, formally began her diplomatic mission after presenting her Letters of Credence to Israeli President Isaac Herzog in a ceremony in Jerusalem. The presentation marks the official start of her assignment and underscores Nigeria’s intent to deepen bilateral ties.
Ufochukwu said her priorities will include expanding cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, technology, security, innovation and cultural exchanges. President Herzog welcomed the envoy and expressed Israel’s readiness to work closely with Nigeria, especially on innovation and counter‑terrorism. The appointment, approved by President Bola Tinubu, is part of a broader effort to strengthen the long‑standing relationship between the two nations.
