Nigeria's APC faces court orders in internal candidate disputes

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed a Federal High Court ruling that replaced Hon. Timehin Adelegbe with Abdulghani Rotimi Arobo as the party's candidate for the Owo/Ose federal constituency in Ondo State. The party also filed a motion for a stay of execution and notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which has retained Adelegbe as the APC candidate pending the appeal.

In a separate case in Plateau State, a court ordered all parties involved in an APC dispute over a House of Assembly seat to maintain the status quo while the matter is adjudicated. The directive prevents any actions that could alter the current situation until a final determination is made, highlighting ongoing internal challenges within the APC ahead of upcoming elections.
