Nigeria's APC urges unity after contested primaries in Nasarawa and Imo

Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, said he accepted the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, describing it as “the will of God” and urging party members to respect the results and stay united.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma similarly appealed to aspirants who lost in the APC primaries to accept the outcome, frame the loss as a sacrifice for party stability, and focus on grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections. Both leaders called for cohesion within the party and highlighted the importance of preparing for upcoming electoral contests.

The statements reflect efforts by the APC to consolidate support and mitigate discord following the recent internal elections across multiple Nigerian states.
