Nigeria's Appeal Court Upholds INEC 2027 Election Timetable

An Abuja Appeal Court set aside a Federal High Court judgment and confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) acted within its statutory powers when it released the revised timetable for the 2027 general elections. The court ruled the timetable is subsidiary legislation under the Electoral Act, giving it the force of law.
