Nigeria's ex‑Attorney‑General Abubakar Malami hauled before court over seized assets

Former Nigerian Attorney‑General Abubakar Malami, son‑in‑law of former President Muhammadu Buhari, appeared in an Abuja courtroom on the one‑year anniversary of Buhari’s burial and was publicly rebuked. The EFCC has revived investigations into Malami’s wealth, alleging irregularities in the disposal of forfeited government assets and seeking permanent forfeiture of 57 properties valued at roughly N212.8 billion.
