Nigeria's First Lady Oluremi Tinubu gifts cars to APC women leaders in opposition states
Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu announced the donation of cars to female leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from five states governed by opposition parties—Abia, Anambra, Bauchi, Osun and Oyo. She said the vehicles will be delivered before the end of the week, registered in the recipients’ names and used for party and community service. Tinubu urged APC governors to provide similar support to women leaders in their states.
The First Lady also oversaw an empowerment programme that provided financial assistance and business tools to 1,000 petty traders, including many persons with disabilities, in Abuja’s Karon Majigi area. The initiative, part of her Renewed Hope Initiative, aims to promote economic inclusion and self‑reliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
