Nigeria First Lady Oluremi Tinubu urges APC women to prioritize grassroots mobilisation

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu addressed women leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, urging them to focus on numbers, trust‑building and grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections, including the 2027 cycle. She stressed that political success depends on connecting with constituents, warning that politicians lose relevance if they become detached after assuming office.

Tinubu highlighted her own experience of holding quarterly town‑hall meetings for twelve years as a senator and presented eight buses to the APC women’s wing as part of her Renewed Hope Initiative. She also praised the party’s women leaders across all states and the Federal Capital Territory for strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and encouraged them to balance public duties with family responsibilities while continuing voter education and outreach.
