Nigeria's ICPC Boosts Anti-Corruption with Electoral Workshop and Student Integrity Clubs

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Nigeria held a two‑day anti‑corruption and sensitisation workshop for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) staff in Abuja. Chaired by ICPC Chairman Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, the event stressed transparency, accountability and professional conduct among electoral officers as the country prepares for the 2027 general elections.

Separately, the ICPC inaugurated Students’ Anti‑Corruption and Integrity Clubs in secondary schools and tertiary institutions nationwide. Launched in Abuja, the programme aims to instil honesty, accountability and civic responsibility in a new generation, building on a national values curriculum that has reached more than 20 million Nigerian students since 2003. Stakeholders including the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools and the Women’s Aid Collective pledged support for the clubs and related community outreach.
