Nigeria's National Youth Service Corps issues safety and registration guidelines for orientation camp
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued new guidelines for prospective corps members ahead of the upcoming orientation camp. Applicants are urged to avoid travelling at night to the camp and to ensure all required documentation is completed, including printing, signing and submitting the registration form at registration.
The NYSC warned that candidates whose graduation dates on call‑up letters differ from those on their statements of results will not be registered. Affected individuals are instructed to resolve discrepancies with Student Affairs Officers before reporting. For date‑of‑birth corrections, applicants must obtain a 19‑ or 20‑digit WAEC Verification PIN and follow the correction process via the NYSC dashboard.
The scheme emphasized compliance with these measures to ensure a smooth registration process and avoid challenges during the orientation exercise.
