Nigeria's NDE launches RHEI Phase 3 to train 26,961 job seekers

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) opened an online portal on 23 July 2026 for registration in the third phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI 3) in Yobe State, Nigeria. The programme targets 26,961 unemployed Nigerians, focusing on women and youths aged 18‑35, including persons with disabilities, and will draw beneficiaries from all 17 local government areas of the state.

Training will cover agriculture, entrepreneurship, information and communication technology, technical and vocational skills, and public‑works projects, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for job creation and poverty alleviation. Minister of Labour and Employment Alhaji Mohammed Maigari highlighted the need for future‑oriented skills such as digital technologies, green jobs and renewable energy, and praised NDE’s digital portal, transparency measures and partnership with ICT providers. Applications are accepted via www.nderegistrationportal.ng or in person at the NDE office in Damaturu.
