Nigeria's NIMASA and NSIB pledge deeper cooperation for maritime safety

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) affirmed a renewed partnership to strengthen maritime safety, security and casualty investigation. During a courtesy visit to NIMASA's Lagos headquarters, Director General Dr. Dayo Mobereola met with NSIB Director General Captain Alex Sabundu Badeh Jr. to discuss practical frameworks for collaboration.

Both officials highlighted the agencies' complementary mandates and shared goal of protecting lives, vessels and the marine environment, aligning with Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola’s broader agenda for the sector.
