Nigeria's NNPC Deploys Over 1,000 Young Professionals
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) announced that it has deployed more than 1,000 young professionals into its workforce after completing a one‑year internship, intensive training and performance‑evaluation programme. Group Chief Executive Officer Bayo Ojulari shared the milestone on the company's social‑media channels, highlighting the merit‑based recruitment that rewards work performance rather than personal connections.
Ojulari said the new staff earned permanent positions through consistent performance during their internship year. The deployment is part of NNPC's broader effort to strengthen capacity and build a commercially oriented workforce under the Petroleum Industry Act.
The company urged the newly deployed employees to contribute ideas, speak up, and continue their professional development, emphasizing the importance of the recruitment process for future talent pipelines.
