Nigeria's NYSC Highlights Safety Measures with Army Support and Curfew Compliance

Director‑General Paulette Orjime praised the Nigerian Army’s 3 Division for providing a secure environment for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Plateau State, noting that more than 7,000 corps members are currently serving there without any programme cancellations due to insecurity.

NYSC officials assured that the temporary orientation camp at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, is safe and fully equipped for about 2,000 participants of the 2026 Batch B course, after relocating from the permanent camp in response to security concerns.

The Oyo State NYSC chapter urged corps members to observe the state’s 16‑hour curfew, emphasizing that security agencies are actively protecting lives and property and reassuring parents that the scheme remains in close contact with authorities.
