Nigeria's NYSC launches e-training portal and announces 2026 Batch ‘C’ dates

The Nigerian Ministry for Youth Development has inaugurated a new e-training portal for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) staff. Minister Ayodele Olawande stated the platform is intended to build a more efficient and knowledgeable workforce through technological integration.

During the launch, Olawande emphasized that academic qualifications alone are insufficient to combat unemployment, urging corps members to acquire practical skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking. He noted that Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) remains a vital component of the scheme.

Separately, the NYSC announced that the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One orientation course is scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026. The three-week program will be held in orientation camps across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, concluding on October 20, 2026. Registration for prospective members will run from September 30 to October 2, with the swearing-in ceremony set for October 2.
