Nigeria's Standards Organisation awards MANCAP certificates to 23 firms
The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) presented Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certificates to 23 companies covering 44 products in Enugu State. The ceremony, attended by SON Director General Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke and South‑East Region Director Mr. Chukwuma Lemachi Aharanwa, highlighted the scheme’s role in ensuring locally manufactured goods meet Nigerian Industrial Standards, boosting consumer confidence and the competitiveness of Made‑in‑Nigeria products in domestic and export markets.
SON also promoted its digital tools, the Electronic MANCAP (E‑MANCAP) platform and the SON Product Identification Scheme (SONPIS), aimed at streamlining certification, improving traceability and supporting micro, small and medium enterprises. Enugu State Permanent Secretary Mr. Ifeanyi Onah praised the initiative for fostering industrial growth, job creation and broader market access for manufacturers.
