Night of Literature event held across Czech cities

The Night of Literature event is being celebrated across various Czech cities, featuring public readings of contemporary European works in unique locations.

In Česká Lípa, the 14th iteration of the event will take place at five different sites, including the Municipal Library, the Vlastivědné Museum and Gallery, and the Crystal Cultural House. Readings will feature works by international authors such as Jacob Sundberg, Imma Monsó, and Paul Murray, occurring in half-hour intervals.

Brno is hosting the event on a large scale for the first time, organized primarily by the Brno-střed district to mark the 20th anniversary of the initiative. The program includes readings by professional actors in locations such as the St. Anne's University Hospital chapel, the Arnold Villa, and the Tugendhat Villa. Featured guests include Canadian anthropology professor Michael Lambek, Argentine author Jorge Emilio Nediche, and Ukrainian poet Oksana Stomina.
