NIGHT OWL releases new single featuring vocalist Uta

Shingo Yasumoto’s culture project, NIGHT OWL, has released its second single, ‘Koukiatsu na Fragrance (Feat. Uta)’. The track is described as a hybrid electro-dance tune that incorporates jazz elements, distinguishing itself from standard city pop.

The collaboration features 22-year-old musician and multi-instrumentalist Uta, a Berklee College of Music student known for work in anime and advertising. The partnership began three years ago after Yasumoto heard a demo sent by Uta, who was a high school student at the time.

A music video directed by Mani Kato was released alongside the single. The video features vintage synthesizers, including the Prophet-5 and ARP2600FS, and utilizes a visual transition from a stylized living room to a beach setting at sunset.
