Nightborn trailer unveils terrifying newborn as Rupert Grint stars in Finnish horror

Shudder has released the official trailer for *Nightborn*, a Finnish horror film directed by Hanna Bergholm. The story follows a young couple, Saga (Seidi Haarla) and her British husband Jon (Rupert Grint), who relocate to an isolated house in the Finnish forest to start a family. After their baby is born, Saga becomes convinced something is terribly wrong with the newborn.

The trailer emphasizes a folklore‑inspired atmosphere, drawing on Nordic legends of forest trolls. Bergholm notes that the forest itself reflects the characters’ primal fears. The film also features Pamela Tola, Pirkko Saisio, Rebecca Lacey and John Thomson, and is slated to premiere on Shudder on July 31, 2026.
