Nightborn wins top honors at Fantasia International Film Festival

The Nordic child thriller ‘Nightborn’ has received critical acclaim, winning the Cheval Noir award for Best Film and Best Actress for Seidi Hämäläinen at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal.

Directed by Hannah Bergholm, the film follows a newlywed couple, Saga and John, who move to the Finnish countryside to start a family. The narrative explores the complexities of motherhood and the psychological terror that arises when Saga begins to sense something is wrong with her newborn child.

In recent interviews, lead actors Seidi Hämäläinen and Rupert Grint discussed the film’s exploration of parental expectations and the generational nature of parenting.
