Nightmare Shift and The Green Light: New Italian Horror Game Reviews

Nightmare Shift, developed by Binary Luna, is a first‑person horror adventure released on 15 July 2025. It follows Emma, a night‑shift worker at an isolated motel, whose routine duties become increasingly unsettling as strange noises, eerie guests and surreal events blur the line between reality and nightmare. The game emphasizes psychological tension, encouraging players to question every character’s motives and the safety of both the motel and Emma’s own apartment.

The Green Light, another first‑person horror adventure, centers on Fred, a man trapped in an unfulfilling job. During a night shift he hears a mysterious voice on the radio promising liberation through a distant green‑lit lighthouse. The title explores Fred’s psychological decline as he journeys through warped environments, memories and hallucinations, leaving players uncertain whether the lighthouse represents hope, death or a mental illusion. Both games use ordinary routines as a catalyst for dread, focusing on paranoia and the erosion of perceived safety.
