Nightwish, the Finnish symphonic metal band founded in 1996 by Tuomas Holopainen, has experienced a significant evolution in both sound and lineup. The band's history includes a high-profile departure of original vocalist Tarja Turunen in 2005, a move that was met with public dispute. Since joining the group full-time in 2013, vocalist Floor Jansen has become a central figure in the band's identity, leading them through several albums and maintaining their position at the forefront of the genre.
