Nigrán hosts 15th annual beach running race

The 15th edition of the Nigrán Area beach race is being held this Sunday, organized by the Nigrán City Council and the Sociedad Atlética Val Miñor. The event features a 6.1 km course running across the wet sand from Panxón Port to Praia América, timed to coincide with low tide.

Approximately 500 runners are participating in the event. For the first time, a total of 1,200 euros in cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in both the male and female absolute categories, with prizes of 300, 200, and 100 euros respectively.

Following the absolute category race, the event includes competitions for various youth age groups, ranging from sub-16 down to distances as short as 100 meters for the youngest participants. The race is supervised by the Galician Athletics Federation and is expected to draw over 3,000 people, including athletes and spectators.
