Nigrán hosts inclusive surfing event at Patos Beach

The VI Copa Concello de Nigrán inclusive surfing event took place at Patos Beach, organized by the Nigrán City Council and the Quenlla Surf Club. The non-competitive, recreational event brought together approximately 50 individuals with intellectual disabilities from various special education centers in the region, supported by a similar number of volunteer instructors.

Mayor Juan González highlighted the event as a symbol of inclusion and diversity for the municipality. The gathering served as a precursor to the Spanish Parasurf Championship held at the same location, which features top national athletes with physical disabilities, including notable competitors such as Andrés Campos, Titi Feria, and world champion Sarah Almagro.
