Nigrán launches first inclusive football school in Val Miñor

The first inclusive football school in the Val Miñor region, named ‘Celta Integra Zelnova’, has launched in Nigrán. The initiative is a social and sporting inclusion program driven by Fundación Celta and the Galician business association In-Red.

The program initially serves a dozen athletes linked to the Juan María de Parada center for people with functional diversity, including seven students from the Special Education Center and five users from the Occupational Center. Training sessions are held every Friday morning at the Jorge Souto municipal field in Vilariño, led by the technical team from Fundación Celta.

While the current focus is on training rather than league competition, the school aims to improve the autonomy, self-esteem, and quality of life for participants and their families. The project is open to any person with functional diversity in the region, regardless of whether they are affiliated with the Juan María center. The ‘Celta Integra’ program has been promoted by Fundación Celta since 2015 to provide inclusive sporting environments across Galicia.
