Nigrán to host Copa Galicia final at Salgueiral pumptrack

The municipality of Nigrán will host the ‘Copa Galicia – I Gran Premio Concello de Nigrán’ on Saturday, September 19, marking the first official competition at the Salgueiral municipal pumptrack. Organized in collaboration with the Club Ciclista Coruxo, the event serves as the final round of the Copa Galicia, making the results decisive for various category rankings.

Organizers expect approximately 120 riders from across Galicia to participate. The schedule includes free training from 11:00 to 13:00, official training from 14:00 to 16:00, qualifying heats starting at 16:30, and a final heat at 18:30. The trophy ceremony is set for 20:00.

Mayor Juan González expressed pride in the infrastructure, noting it is a highly demanded facility for local youth. The pumptrack is the largest circuit in the southern part of the province and the only one in Pontevedra featuring a dirt-jump area. While primarily designed for BMX, the facility is also suitable for skateboarding and scooters. The project was executed by Overlay Projets with an investment of €75,400.
