Nihon Falcom announces Sora no Kiseki the 2nd release date

Nihon Falcom has announced that the full 3D remake of the story RPG ‘The Legend of Heroes: Sora no Kiseki the 2nd’ is scheduled for release on September 17, 2026. The title will be available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

In an interview, President Toshihiro Kondo explained that the decision to remake the series was driven by a desire to welcome new players to the long-running ‘Trails’ franchise. The development of ‘the 2nd’ was accelerated due to high team motivation following the first installment. The game follows the story of Estelle Bright and serves as a direct sequel to ‘the 1st’ remake.

To celebrate the launch, Nihon Falcom is organizing a lottery event for over 4,000 participants. This includes in-store events at seven locations across Japan and a web-based lottery. Prizes include voice actor autographed boards and acrylic stands.
