Nihon Falcom Announces Release Date and Trailer for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

Japanese developer Nihon Falcom Corporation revealed that the full‑remake "Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter" will launch worldwide on September 17, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam). President Toshihiro Kondo said the sequel will contain about 50 % more content than the original, and the studio has shifted to completing the story early in development to improve polish.

A new promotional trailer showcases protagonist Estelle Bright’s quest after the Liberl coup, the return of Joshua, and the threat of the Ouroboros society. The game adds new combat mechanics such as Brave Rush and S‑Crafts, side minigames (fishing, poker, cooking), and data‑transfer bonuses from the first chapter. It will feature English and Japanese voice‑overs with subtitles in English, German, French and Spanish. Pricing in Japan starts at ¥8,800 for the standard edition, with special editions and a ¥150 upgrade path for the Switch 2 version.
