Nihon Falcom raises profit forecasts as Trails series hits 10 million sales
Nihon Falcom has announced that its ‘Trails’ series, a subset of ‘The Legend of Heroes’, has surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide. This milestone follows strong sales from recent titles, including ‘Trails in the Sky the 2nd’ and ‘Kyoto Xanadu -the Blooming Phantom-’, as well as sustained global performance from ‘Trails in the Sky the 1st’.
Driven by this commercial success, the company has upwardly revised its financial forecasts for the fiscal year ending September 2026. Revenue is now expected to reach approximately $27.1 million, up from previous estimates of $22.7 million. Operating profit is projected to rise to $17.6 million, a 27.2% increase over previous expectations.
In recognition of the series' achievement, Falcom also plans to issue a commemorative dividend. The total year-end dividend is expected to rise to 60 yen per share, consisting of a 30 yen regular dividend and a 30 yen commemorative dividend.
