Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi hosts British Exhibition 2026

The Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store is hosting the British Exhibition 2026, a major cultural event featuring a wide array of British goods, food, and traditions. The exhibition is divided into two parts, running from August 19 to August 31.

Culinary highlights include traditional items such as scones from Edinburgh’s five-star hotel, The Balmoral, and the visually striking Stargazy pie. The latter, a Cornish specialty featuring fish heads protruding from the crust, has gained social media attention and is often associated with the film ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’. The event also offers approximately 65 varieties of tea.

In addition to food, the exhibition showcases British craftsmanship and heritage. Halcyon Days, a Royal Warrant holder, is presenting items including enamel work and fine bone china, featuring commemorative pieces for the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth. Other featured products include ceramics from brands like Burleigh and Denby, as well as various vintage goods and ornaments.
