Nihonbashi Usuke Roppongi opens in Tokyo

Nihonbashi Usuke Roppongi, a new restaurant specializing in Kansai-style eel, opened on September 19, 2026, in Nishi-Azabu, Minato City, Tokyo. Operated by ZOT Co., Ltd., the establishment is located approximately five minutes from Roppongi Station.

The restaurant focuses on “jiyaki” style eel, which is grilled without being steamed to achieve a crispy skin and fluffy texture. The menu includes various unaju (eel over rice) options, such as the “Mountain” variety, as well as hitsumabushi, which can be enjoyed in three different ways: plain, with condiments, and finally as unachazuke with dashi.

In addition to traditional eel dishes, the menu features eel skewers, grilled vegetables, and various side dishes. The establishment offers a selection of sake and shochu from across Japan, alongside unique “cha-wari” cocktails designed to pair with eel, such as matcha and banana shochu.
