Niigata Agriculture and Bio Professional School to host agricultural future lecture

Niigata Agriculture and Bio Professional School (ABio) will host an open campus event on September 5, 2026, featuring a special lecture on the future of agriculture. The event aims to introduce high school students and professionals to the concept of “sixth industrialization,” which integrates cultivation, processing, and sales to create new value.

Special guest Rieko Shintani, CEO of Agri Produce Ritz and a recipient of the Prime Minister's Award at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Festival, will speak about her experiences in product development and cafe management. The session is designed to demonstrate that modern agriculture extends beyond simple cultivation to include business and regional development.
