Japan police arrest men for sexual assaults in Chiba, Sapporo, Niigata

A 23‑year‑old man was arrested at JR Ichikawa Station in Chiba after attempting to film a woman's skirt with a smartphone, violating Japan’s law against sexual image offenses.

In Sapporo’s Susukino entertainment district, a 28‑year‑old cleaning‑staff worker was caught on site for non‑consensual indecent touching of a teenage girl’s breast. He told police, "I definitely grabbed the woman's breast," and was taken into custody for violation of the non‑consensual indecency statute.

In Niigata, a 28‑year‑old elementary‑school teacher was detained for allegedly engaging in lewd conduct with a minor he met through social media and recording the act on his phone. The Niigata City Board of Education apologized, stating, "We will work with the principals’ association more than before to prevent recurrence and ensure all staff eradicate non‑compliant behavior."

All three arrests were made by local police as part of ongoing efforts to combat sexual crimes and protect public safety.
