Niigata University of Health and Welfare to host amputee football event
Niigata University of Health and Welfare will host an amputee football experience event on November 1, 2026, at its first gymnasium. The event is open to all individuals regardless of gender, age, disability, or previous soccer experience.
Amputee football is a sport played primarily by individuals with limb amputations using crutches for mobility rather than specialized equipment. Participants will receive direct guidance and support from players and staff from the Japan Amputee Football Association.
The event is free to attend with a capacity of 40 people. It is organized as part of a regional para sports promotion project commissioned by the Japan Para Sports Association.
