NIJIN High School hosts metaverse open campus for students

NIJIN High School, a correspondence support school, held its first online open campus using a metaverse space on August 21, 2026. The event featured a signature program called ‘My Project Experience,’ which was designed and operated by a current student.

During the session, middle and high school participants used worksheets to connect their personal interests—such as aviation, gaming, or design—with potential real-world projects, including corporate collaborations or product development. The goal was to help students visualize how their passions could evolve into social contributions after enrollment.

The school utilizes a metaverse environment that has previously received the Prime Minister's Encouragement Award. This digital space allows students to engage in diverse activities like creating picture books, planning sports festivals, and participating in corporate-linked events, regardless of their physical location.
