NIJIN to host online events on teacher career paths and school refusal support

NIJIN Co., Ltd. is organizing a series of online educational events focused on diverse career paths and support for students.

On October 23, 2026, NIJIN and the teacher community ‘Genie’ will host an online discussion titled ‘Wanting to be a teacher, whether in school or away from it.’ The session features current and former teachers discussing how to maintain an involvement in education while navigating life stages such as childcare and parental leave. The goal is to explore options beyond the binary choice of staying in or leaving the profession.

On October 24, 2026, NIJIN Academy will hold an online event titled ‘From school refusal to university.’ The program includes a talk by Rei Aoba, a university student who transitioned from school refusal to a four-year university via a correspondence high school, to share experiences with parents. This will be followed by a ‘career path study session’ where NIJIN Academy students present their future goals and uncertainties to receive advice from guests and the principal.
