Nijmegen police investigate three separate stabbing incidents
Police in Nijmegen are investigating three separate incidents reported between Friday night and Saturday morning. Authorities have stated that the three cases appear to be unrelated.
In the first incident around 21:40, a man arrived at the Stieltjesstraat police station with an arm injury. While an investigation was launched and a potential suspect was interviewed, no weapon was found, and police noted it is possible the man caused the injury himself.
Around 22:30, a stabbing was reported on Molenstraat following a confrontation involving several youths. Police report that after a glass was thrown at a suspect, the individual allegedly drew a knife and stabbed a 29-year-old man. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the suspect fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
In the third incident, a woman arrived at the police station at 02:07 with three friends, claiming she had been stabbed and beaten earlier that night. Officers observed no visible injuries on the woman. Police searched the reported location but found no available camera footage. The woman was advised to document any injuries and return to file a formal report.
