Nik Mujanović discusses Bosnian heritage and career

Slovenian volleyball player Nik Mujanović has shared details regarding his family heritage and personal development following his standout performances at the European Championship. Although born in Slovenia, Mujanović revealed that his roots trace back to Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that his father moved to Slovenia at the age of four.

Mujanović stated that his parents preferred not to discuss their Bosnian origins, which contributed to him not mastering the language during his childhood despite annual short visits to Bosnia. He eventually learned the language while playing professionally abroad, communicating with teammates and managers from Croatia and Serbia.

Regarding his career, the 21-year-old athlete emphasized that volleyball is currently his primary focus, though he remains mindful of the importance of education. His recent tournament performance included a double-digit point tally in Slovenia's third-place match against Finland.
